The Walbridge Trust

The Walbridge Trust was set up in the will of Mrs. Winifred May Walbridge, as a resource for local people,

'wholly or mainly for the people of the Parish of Symondsbury'

In the past this has meant grants to large scale projects , the refurbishment of St.Peter's at Eype into
the Eype Centre for The Arts , and the refurbishment of both Eype School Room, and Broadoak Village Hall.

In addition, the trustees have made many individual grants, from payments for winter fuel, through to supporting young people in their further education, and more recently helping people with financial problems due to the pandemic.

Any group or individual living in the Parish of Symondsbury, ( or with strong historical links to it,)
can apply to the trust for support. The area we cover is:

Pine View, Watton Park, Edward's Close, West Cliff, Symondsbury, Eype and Broadoak

For assistance either with a group project or a personal problem, contact:

we will send you an online form to fill in, which will be circulated to the trustees for discussion.
Please give as much detail as you can, as this helps the trustees to see how much money is needed,
and how much of that we can give.
